Morocco Tour : Culture ,Heritage and History of Morocco 12 Days.

Day 1: Casablanca.

Arrive at Casablanca Airport where you will be welcomed by your driver guide who will drive you towards your accomodation.

Day 2: Casablanca – Rabat.
After brekfast drive to visit one of the best highlights of Casablanca the Hassan II mosque and departure to the Imperial city of Rabat, the administrative capital of the Kingdom. Visit Méchouar (ramparts and walls surrounding the Royal Palace), the Oudayas Kasbah, the magnificent Mausoleum Mohamed V and the Hassan II. accommodation in the hotel.

Day 3: Rabat – Chefchaouen:
Departure from Rabat towards Chefchaouen , this Blue town is situated in the Rif Mountains, just inland from Tangier and Tetouan. The city was founded in 1471, as a small fortress which still exists to this day, by Moorish exiles from Spain led by Moulay Ali Ben Moussa Ben Rached El Alami to fight the Portuguese invasions of northern Morocco. It was known as one of the main concentrations of Moriscos and Jews who sought refuge in this mountainous city after the Spanish Reconquista in medieval times.In 1920, the Spanish seized Chefchaouen to form part of Spanish Morocco. Spanish troops imprisoned Abd el-Krim in the kasbah from 1916 to 1917, after he talked with the German consul Dr. Walter Zechlin (1879–1962). (After defeating him with the help of the French force Abd el-Krim was deported to Réunion in 1926). Spain returned the city after the independence of Morocco in 1956...Night in Riad situated in the heart of the medina

Day 4 : Chechaouen- Volubilis - Meknes-Fes.
Departure in the morning towards the Romain Ruins ,Volubilis was a Roman settlement, located close to Meknes and 4 kilometres from the Islamic city of Moulay Idriss, dating from the 3rd century BC. Volubilis was a central administrative city for this part of Roman Africa, responsible for grain production and exports to Rome. It was also responsible for contact with Berber tribes who were never suppressed but cooperated for mutual benefit,then we continue to Meknes. Visite of the Medina, surrounded also by ramparts. visit the Jewish quarter. the we drive to Fez , Accommodation at the hotel/Riad in Fez.

Day 5: Fes – Fes.
The whole day dedicated for visit the city Fes, the oldest imperial city in Morocco ,founded in the 8th century by Moulay Idriss II .You will visit the Medina, Médersas Attarine, Fontaine Ennajarine, Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss and the Karawiyin Mosque and the new medina in Fez Jdid .In the evening check into the hotel/Riad.

Day 6: Fes – Azrou – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga dunes.
Driving on the road from Fes, passing the Middle Atlas mountains and through the cedar forests well known all over the world. Cedar was already used from the Phoenician times and Roman time for woodcraft, essences and Building even ancient Marine boats. We pass through Ifran, Moroccan Swiss style of town and Azrou, typical Zayan Middle Atlas Berber village. We will cross than the valley of Ziz and Ziz gorges on the way to the Oriental Sahara Town of Erfou. From Erfoud we will take a rock desert trail to Merzouga. Overnight Inn hotel near the dunes.

Day 7: Merzouga – Erg Chebbi – Merzouga.
The day is Dedicated to discover the oriental Sahara desert. We will drive in the desert with 4×4, visiting the nomads, Oasis and the dunes of Erg Chebbi. We go to the village of the dark skin people Khamlia to enjoy original and ethnical music of the Gnawa people. From there back to the Hotel. Camel riding at sunset and stay over in Berber tent in the heart of the dunes. A day full of adventure and culture.

Day 8: Merzouga –Rissani- Todra gorges – Dades Valley.
Early morning wake up for camel riding and outstanding sunrise. Arriving to the hotel for refreshing and breakfast. We will cross the town of Rissani and Tafilalet,the center of allaouit dynastie, on the way to the stunning Todra Gorges and overlooking the valley from the hillside. We drive through the great village of Dades and night in hotel.

Day 9: Ouarzazate – High Atlas – Marrakech.
After the Breakfast we continue our amazing trip on the deep Rose valley. The valley known for it's cultivation of Roses. Different colored mountains and crossing palm trees, sweat corn and figs cultivation. we came across numerous Kasbah ruins of all shapes known also the road of thousands Kasbahs. arriving lunsh time to Ouarzazate.From Ouarzazate driving to Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, Mother of all Kasbahs. Enchanting Berber architectural strusture about 800 years old. Once arriving to the top of the Kasbah hill a great view to the ancient caravan roads to Marrakech and the far Peaks of the high Atlas mountains. Visit of the Kasbah ruins that still reveals the ancient culture of the Kasbah inhabitants. We will continue on a path road, about 8 km, on top of the mountains, that converge the main road to Marrakech. Passing through the valley of Almand trees, the Berber Shluh of Amerzgan,Agouim and Ighrem, We will arrive to the Tizi N Tichka pass (2260 m.alt). Lunch at the Berber village of Tadart. We will arrive to Marrakech evening time.

Day 10: Marrakech.
After breakfast, the group will have a guided tour of Marrakech,the southern pearl of Morocco. You will discover the Bahia and Badi Palaces, the Saadian Tombs, the Menara basin and many other hidden treasures. Lunch will be in one of the finest traditional restaurants in Marrakech. After lunch, you will continue with the tour on the magnificent Koutoubia Mosque and the famous Djemaa el Fna, one of the center attractions of Marrakech. Coming alive at night with the local storytellers, entertainers, and mouth-watering barbeque, the square is well worth a visit.

Day 11: Marrakech – Essaouira - Marrakech:
Departure at 8am from your hotel or Riad to Essaouira; known as Mogador or the jewel of the Atlantic. After 1 hour and half of driving you will stop for short break in a cafe in Sidi lmkhtar. Continue the road for about 1/2 hour to get the second stop to take a picture for some goats climbing the trees the Argan. Arrive Essaouira then visit the fishing port with it's ramparts, the old medina known asSkala and the museum of Sidi Mohammed Ben Abd Llah. Walking in the Souk (market) and experience differents crafts manufactured in the town.Enjoy the fresh seafood in a local restaurant near of the port or in the beach.After lunch driver back to marrakech in the road you will visit a women co-operative of Argan oil where you will watch women manufacturing this famous product... Night in Riad

Day 12: Marrakech – Casablanca airport.
End of the tour.
